Membership in the Jersey Aero Club is a privilege. Continued benefits of this membership privilege depend on the active cooperation of all members to help administer the Club and to keep the Club equipment in good condition. The Club’s officers and trustees have a big job to do and every member should try to help.
To join the club you need to submit an application and attend a Board of Directors Meeting prior to the first reading of your application (the schedule is posted on this web site). To submit an application, you must have another club member to act as your sponsor. If you already know somebody in the club, great. If not, start attending meetings and other club functions and meeting some of our members. Prospective members are always welcome at any meeting. In fact even if you already do know some members it is highly recommend that you still attend some meetings before you join to get an idea of how the club works.
As far as cost, there is a $500 initiation fee, payable at the time your application has its first reading. At the next meeting, your application is read a second time, and voted on without you present. Dues are currently $55 per month, which covers our fixed expenses, such as insurance and building rent.
Meetings are held the First Thursday of each month at the Elks Lodge on West Bangs Avenue in Neptune, NJ and are at 7:30 pm. For more information please email our membership committee at email@example.com.
